Hawthorne Gardens in Marshall Michigan
I recently had the honor of going to my home state of Michigan and photographing my niece Heather and her Fiance Eric for their wedding and preparations and reception. It was like a family reunion. I drafted my brother-in-law Terry to help and 2nd shoot for me and it was just a blast to see all of my husband's family again. They were always like my own family from the first time we met. Eric's parents are sweet and fun and it was a great day.
Heather made a beautiful bride. Her sister Jamie was her matron of Honor. Her nephew's (Jamie's sons) were ring bearers and her niece Emma (Jamie's daughter) was the flower girl. Emma was the most beautiful flower girl ever.
Heather's parents walked her down the aisle to her awaiting groom. The reception was also held at Hawthorne Gardens in their reception tent. We took a break between the ceremony and the reception to go to the Brooks Memorial Fountain, a gorgeous Greek Revival fountain that is in a small park in a round-about. We crossed the street "Beatles Style" to get to the fountain to a chorus of car honks and whoops and one "don't do it, man!" to which we replied "It's too late!" http://www.marshallmich.com/history/fountain.shtml
This was just a great day and I wish Heather and Eric all the best in the world.

At the Brook's Memorial Fountain in Marshall MichiganBetween the wedding and reception, we went to the local landmark "the Brooks Memorial Fountain". We did lots of portraits there and then headed back to the reception,
